Get more points:
When you go of any jump (Superpipe, Cliff, Kicker), hold L + White button
and hit Left thumb-stick Left. You should see a colored "X" on the screen,
which indicates that you have entered the button combination correctly.
The "Special Bonus" text will appear at the bottom of the screen.
That special bonus will boost your trick points.
You also can hold the correct buttons and keep pressing Left.
If you end up near a grinding rail, hold the Y button. When you
complete the grind, you can receive 3,000 trick points easily.

Find and defeat some weak enemies (like Slaughterfish) to increase your
armor skill.
Increase Athletics skill
Run around until your fatigue level will be empty. Then, wait for your
fatigue level to raise to the maximum and then run again.
Note: Run, do not walk!
Increase Block skill
While using a shield and get hit by enemies, hold Chop to increase block
skill.
Increase Mercantile skill
Purchase anything for bargain price (10 to 20 gp) and always go down
on the price slightly. After, sell it back for a little more than
they desire.
